Hazel hurdles require a great deal of skill and strength to make. The hazel rods we use are of a good diameter for longevity, making it hard to twist the fibres unless you are the most skilled woodsman.

We weave as much material as we can in our hurdles, which we pride ourselves on. We can custom make to the inch or supply you with standard sized panels. All have our trade mark of quality and beauty, having as much material as they can and twisted bands of top weave to finish the hurdle off.

Alternatively you can order a continuous woven hazel fence woven. Weaving on site allows for the strongest fence, as well as beauty of line where you can create a fluid line or curve of weave. Hazel is woven around chestnut uprights which have been cemented two foot into the ground for maximum strength. Hazel hurdles are a natural dark brown colour.
