Aftercare and Installation

Natural fencing should be treated after one year, after the sap in the wood has dried. Only when the wood is dry enough will preserver penetrate effectively, which is why we don’t supply treated hurdles. Our Natural Fencing preserver is based on a 50/50 pure mix of boiled linseed oil and white spirit. This formula helps protect your fencing from the ravages of weather and will extend the life of your panels. It can be either sprayed or painted on. We recommend that 1.5 litres will treat a 6 x 6ft panel, as a rough guide.

Our team can install and deliver on a nationwide basis, alternatively there is our mail order service. We install using our expertise, using chestnut or oak posts and bracing for extra support. Bracing is added as a rail behind the posts supporting the hurdles. This supports the weight of the hurdle, preventing any future sagging as well as greatly improving the longevity of the fence as a whole. We are happy to provide you with free estimates on request.
